The night will consist of a dinner, entertainment, speeches about the organization, Kenyan tea, and a silent auction. Through this event, our guests (we are planning on around 100) will be able to learn about what we do, have a good time, and help support the organization financially.

We have held this event once before, through Hope 4 Africa @ ISU, and it was a major success. It was super fun (after we all nearly had panic attacks trying to prepare at the last minute), informative, and lucrative for the organization. This year, we have adapted it to the organizational level, in order to raise money for operation costs. As we gain experience, we are quickly realizing that expenses grow alongside revenues – and our revenues are growing quickly. We also are bringing the event to West Des Moines, which is our home market – the birth place of the club.

H4A Night, we feel, is a very good way to both give ourselves a financial base, preparing for future growth, and provide our supporters a close look into what we do, what their money and volunteer hours have gone to support.

We would be absolutely thrilled for you to join us on our special night.4 P.M. Doors Open: Guests will have an opportunity to view various displays about Africa, browse the silent auction items, and visit with Hope 4 Africa club members.
4:30 P.M. Buffet line opens (see menu below)
4:45 – 5:30 P.M. Speeches and Entertainment: Founder Moses Bomett and other members of the Hope 4 Africa Organization will speak followed by entertainment.
5:30 – 5:45 P.M. Silent Auction Wrap-Up: Final browsing and bidding on the silent auction items
5:50 P.M. Thank You! Auction winners announced and final thank-you
6:00 P.M. Clean Up

Hope 4 Africa is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that raises money to improve education in Africa. Currently, we support three schools in Kenya and do most of our fundraising through 10 student clubs at high schools and universities, including several in the central Iowa area. In the past, our organization has provided over 1,700 textbooks and library books, planted over 1,000 trees, sponsored 21 students and provided 20 computers. This year, we are looking to fund projects that will bring clean water to a school, install an infrastructure for electricity in that same school, sponsor high school students, and give one primary school a music program.
