In order to permanently increase the quality of education at a school, there must be a strong infrastructure first. Kirobon Primary School, the same school for which we are providing a water-catchment system, submitted a proposal to add electricity to their 8 classrooms and 2 offices, thereby establishing a solid infrastructure. Hope 4 Africa’s goal of bringing lasting change can only be established by first creating an environment conducive to growth, and this is one way we are doing that.
Electricity has essentially become a necessity for schools worldwide; not only does it hold the obvious advantages of light when the sunlight won’t suffice, but without electricity a school cannot install computers, which denies students the opportunity to learn skills that are now fundamental to the global jobs market. Through this program, Hope 4 Africa will work with Kirobon Primary School and local electricians to install a complete system of electricity throughout the 8 classrooms and 2 offices including circuitry and light fixtures. We believe that electricity has become vital to the infrastructure of modern schools, which is why we have decided to establish our Electricity 4 Hope.
Total Cost – $2200
